Islamic Banking Can be Ideal For Indian Economy - E.Ahmed
The scope is Islamic finance is large at indian conditions - says Hon.Minister for the railway affairs Mr.E.Ahmed.
He was inaugrating the 2 day International Conference on Islamic Finance and Interest free baking organized by RUA College Feroke. Even though there are practical difficulties in implementing in a secular sytem like India, Yet the current scenario demands efforts to move forward - The minister told.
The conference was presided over by the Hon: Minister for Industries - Kerala State- Mr.Elamaram Kareem. He pointed out that kerala is the first state which took initiative in this regard.
Principal Secretary Mr.T.Balakrishnan I.A.S presented the keynote. Dr.Hussain Madavoor (Pricipal -RUA College) gave the introductary speech. The indian ambassador of Arab Leadge Dr.Ahmed Salem Al Wahshi, P.V.Abdul Wahab.M.P, Islamic Finance Secretary H.Abdul Rabeeq, Prof.K.A.Jaleel, Dr.Azad Moopan, P.K.Ahmed, K.V.Kunhahamed Koya, Pro.Mohd Kuttassheri, P.Kunhahamed, S.Mohamed Younus,etc gave address to the seminar
Various papers were presented on topic related to the semiar by Dr.Esa M Eshaq (Banking Consultant - Bahrain Islamic Bank), K.M.Abdul Salam, CH.Abdual Raheem, Tiny Philip, Abdul Rahman (WAMY Representative) Dr.Sharik Nisar and M.M.Akbar.
The semiar will continue today also.
